Business Registration Information
The Kids Treasure Map, first held in 2013, is designed to get families moving around the Port and bring them to your businesses door. As local traders ourselves we understand that the Port Adelaide CBD is more than a single shopping strip. It needs a marketing tool that celebrates the discovery of all of the Port's hidden treasures.
Unlike a 'Yellow Brick Road' activity, The Pirates of Port Adelaide Kids Treasure Map is designed to support small businesses - not to create financial burden by expecting you to provide hundreds of free trinkets and gifts. That doesn’t stop you offering giveaways should you want to do so.
Rather than getting something for nothing, The Treasure Map encourages, challenges and nurtures a variety of skills for kids including counting, adding, social skills and orienteering. By answering questions and collecting stamps, treasure hunters of all ages gather points that qualify them for the chance to win some great prizes ...including an 'Aye' pad!
Registration is for 1 (only) of the 20 available treasure hunt locations listed on the 2019 Pirates of Port Adelaide Treasure Map. -see sample Front and Back of Treasure Map from a previous years below.
There are two registration options from which you can choose:
1. STAMP LOCATION - treasurer hunters come into your business and have their map physically stamped by you. If you choose this option your business MUST be open during both days of the Pirate 6th of October and between the hours 11am - 4:00pm.
2. QUESTION LOCATION - for businesses that will not be open on Sunday 6th October
In both Options your Registration includes:
- 2019 Pirates of Port Adelaide Flag x 1 (value $33.00)
- Stamps if registration selection is 'STAMP LOCATION'
- 2 x Pencil Pack -containing 10 x 1/2 sized HB pencils
Additional Flags and Pencils are available for purchase in the attached merchandise order form.
